What to Pack for a Day at Disneyland with Young Kids

It’s no secret that I love Disneyland! I’ve been at least once a year (sometimes 2 or 3 times a month) for as long as I can remember. Over the years I’ve learned which things are worth the extra weight in your bag and what things you can honestly just leave at home. Then when I had kids I had to re-learn everything, and now that I no longer have a “baby” (even though my two year old still feels like a baby to me) I’m heading to the park next week with a slightly different list of items that I used to. I was so excited that Petunia Pickle Bottom sent over some pieces from their new Beauty & the Beast collection with Disney Baby. They have been my go to for Disney day bags and these ones did not disappoint!

How to Teach Your Child Spanish from Home!

¡Hola! Elouise has started Spanish classes with Homeschool Spanish Academy and I am floored with the results after only 3 of the 25 minutes sessions! I took Spanish every year from 7th grade through sophomore year in college, and I was pretty good at it too! However, the phrase “if you don’t use it, you lose it” has shown itself to be true for me. I wish so badly that I had stuck with perfecting my skill of learning another language, so when we got the chance to partner with HSA I didn’t even hesitate to say yes!

3 Must Haves for a Kid’s Karaoke Party

Elouise requested a karaoke birthday this year and you better believe I ran with that. I gathered all things gold, glittery, and of course had to include a whole bunch of disco balls! Everything was sourced from either Target or Amazon for super cheap which is my favorite kind of party. Everything was simple but still fabulous and to be honest the kids doing karaoke was the best part. It was honestly the most pure and precious thing I’ve ever seen. If take nothing away from this post other than the fact that you need a karaoke microphone, I’ll honestly be happy. Scroll to the end to see the links for everything including the super affordable and epic microphone I snagged from Amazon!

How to Paint a Rainbow Arch

This project has been one of my most favorites that we tackled. It has so much drama from stage to stage. I knew what my vision was, and I am the type that will do whatever I can to make it happen once it’s stuck in my head. The problem is I don’t always think about step B-Y, I only focus on A and Z. Luckily we pulled it off and the kids’ room is easily my favorite in the whole house! We did the project from start to finish in a just a few hours and under $100 (if you have some of the tools or paints already you can get it done even cheaper). It pulled together the vision I had for the kids room 100%. It’s hard finding a vibe that meets three kids and both genders. Each of the older kids has been asking for more personalized items in their room (I guess my boho desert vibe wasn’t exciting to my tiny kids, lol). I love, love, love that final reveal. They each have their own flair in their spaces, and they were all so excited about their rainbow!
