Baby Number 3 Maternity Photos

So, in true third baby fashion, this maternity shoot was not all that glamorous. I’m not saying that to discount it at ALL because I love these photos that my sweet sister in law Emily took for us. All that to say is that we are lucky she made us look good because these photos were shot at an abandoned field down the street from our house, after stuffing our faces with pizza for dinner, with non-planned outfits (except for my dress from Lularoe, because I know you’re going to ask). I’ve also had the files waiting to be edited for weeks on my computer but just kept pushing it down on my to do list. If this is any indication for what life is going to be like after this child arrives, we are in for a treat LOL. Moral of the story, third pregnancies don’t get all the attention that the previous ones did. Or maybe the real moral of the story is to marry someone whose sister is an amazing photographer and can still make you look good in the midst of the crazy. I’ll let you decide.

Dressing the Bump: Week 36

A few things have changed over the last week. The first being that my wedding rings don’t fit anymore, hence the little sterling silver number I’m sporting in the photo above. This definitely was never an issue with my last pregnancy so I was a little shocked when it no longer fit. I also am just feeling a little extra puffy all of a sudden, I’m hoping it’s just the water weight that can make you appear swollen right before delivery. Gosh I sure hope that this little dude does me a solid and comes early. Except my parents won’t be home from Israel until the 29th, so if you’re listening little guy, just wait until they’re back. I don’t think I’m asking too much, I’ve been growing this kid for almost nine months now.

Dressing the Bump: Week 35

So Week 35 is coming to a close and I’ll be honest, I did not want to take these photos. I am feeling HUGE, like “walk past a mirror and do a double take because that can’t be me” kind of huge. I suppose that’s all part of the process though. Especially when you’re like me and somehow didn’t get that crazy burst of energy in the second trimester, I blame my toddler, and also have dealt with annoying sciatic pain almost constantly. This means that I spent a lot of time resting and the time I spent out and about was mostly for Disneyland trips or walks at the mall. If you catch where I’m going with this, I’m trying to nicely say that I was not the “fit mama” during this pregnancy. However, I was the mama who wasn’t opposed to eating the occasional burger and fries. So here I am with a month to go, and doing what I can to embrace my body for the miraculous thing it’s doing for our family. This baby better be cute!

Dressing the Bump: Week 34

This week we braved one more big Disneyland day. I’m talking 10 hours of toddler themed fun at the happiest place on earth. Lots and lots of characters were hugged, a few big girl rides were ridden for the first time, and we watched the live Frozen show (or as Elouise keeps referring to it, the Ana Elsa Show). It was so worth it but by the end of the day I thought my body was going to just power down like a robot with some worn out batteries. I did however plan my outfit perfectly for once. I seem to always underestimate the weather when we go, thinking the temperature won’t feel as hot or as cold as it really does. Not this time, I was finally on the money. I chose a comfy little t-shirt style dress that didn’t hug or dig into my belly, the comfiest sneakers that I own, and a cozy sweater from Evystree for the cool morning and evening hours. Score! Also, I know I’m overdue for sharing the story of how Christian proposed so I’ll include that below. Eeek!

Dressing the Bump: Week 33

Week 33 has come, and almost gone now, meaning we have a little less than 7 more weeks to go until little man’s due date. With all the crazy happening in our life right now I’m wishing we had a little longer. Then I remember my sciatic pain, sleepless nights, and the way it feels like he’s going to bust his tiny heel through my skin and I’d gladly have him here tomorrow. Okay, maybe not tomorrow but a little bit early would be great. Ya hear me kid? Well today was my baby shower and it was filled with sweetness. Plus I managed to fit this watermelon sized bump into a non maternity dress, and in my normal size I might add. Needless to say, today made me feel pretty fabulous.
