3 Tips for Holiday Travel with Kids

Alright, I’m back as I promised with some tips we picked up on our last stay with our kids. Obviously, the holidays are a super popular time for travel and also a time of year where we are all trying to save money in order to buy the perfect presents for our family. So, I wanted to pop in with some tips for traveling with your kids, especially if you’re going to be sharing a hotel room or a common space with your little ones. On this last trip, we had one room, two kids, and a lot of time to kill after the kids fell asleep and we were trapped.

The Happiest Holiday Staycation

If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that our love for Disneyland runs deep. What you might not know is that we miss out half the fun because we can never get there when the park opens because of dreaded California traffic. I’m talking, I’d have to rally the troops and be out the door at 5;30 am and still hit some stretches of bumper to bumper on our way. I can’t promise that these things will make it all rainbows and butterflies when traveling with a toddler, in your car, for hours, but I can tell you that these things made our road trip a lot easier and more tolerable.

What I Packed for a Summer Vacation with Little Kids

If you’ve been here before you know that we recently had a family vacation. Five days and four nights of a whole lot of family fun and maybe just a little bit of chaos. I’m serious when I say it was only a little chaotic because we were prepared for just about any scenario while we were away. Luckily we didn’t have to worry about fitting everything onto an airplane, but we did have to endure a treacherous road trip (more on that here). Anyway, big thanks to American Tourister for sponsoring this post so that I can share my packing tips with you guys! Their Z-Lite suitcase was the perfect size for the things I packed for the kiddos.
