The One Thing I Can’t Leave the House Without

Cups. Water cups. Specifically the kitty cat doctor cup from Dr. Brown’s because my toddler is really specific. I hate to disappoint if you thought that this was going to be some hot new must have, mom-hack item, but it’s something that’s been around for ages. If I don’t at least bring one cup with us when we leave the house, it’s bad. Like, I will have to buy water somewhere. Let me share with you our current faves, and a few photos of my crazy kids at Target. You know, just in case you were worried you were the only one with a toddler who takes over the bedding aisle for an unprompted runway show. Thanks to Dr. Brown’s for sponsoring this post so I can share our favorite cups with you!

The Pixie Dust of the Disney Social Media Moms Conference

You know that infamous quote from Peter Pan “all you need is a little faith, trust, and pixie dust”? Well, I am here to say that there is a whole lot of truth to that. Your pixie dust might look a little different than mine, but I think that we can all find a little extra sprinkle of magic in our lives if we look for it. Yesterday I got to experience my own encounter with some pixie dust at the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! I got invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Conference held at the resort and it was nothing short of magical. I had SO many of you lovely folks asking questions so I thought I’d share a bit about the day over here!

The Arrival of the Paci Fairy

I have to say that during my years as an early childhood educator I heard about a lot of tricks that parents would do to get their kids to try something new or move on from a certain behavior. Honestly, I thought most of them were silly. Now I am like, sign me up for every gimmick in the book, because kids are tough and as parents we need all the help we can get. Enter, the Paci Fairy. No she’s not one of the characters that you will find on the shelves of your favorite store, she is purely a desperate ploy that I’m utilizing so I hopefully don’t traumatize my paci loving child. Call me crazy, but it’s working. Like, if I had to rate it on a 10 point scale with 10 as the highest, it would be an 8. I’m not even kidding! Before I get into all the details, here is the cutest freaking video of when the Paci Fairy came to our house on Monday.

Whatever Mama Wants, Mama Gets

Then I would have two kiddos who slept through the night and napped at the same time, someone to clean my house, a chef, and a private shuttle service from my house straight to Disneyland. Too much? I think not! Well, I will say that there are a few things that us mamas want that are more realistic and to help you spoil whoever you are celebrating this Mother’s Day I have complied a quick list of some great gifts in three price categories. Hippity-Hoppity Easter Shop-pity

Okay, I know a it’s a lame excuse for a rhyme but I couldn’t resist making myself giggle. I am here to talk about last minute Easter shopping. This year we are hosting Easter at our home which means that my mind has been on all things menu and getting the house in order. Then I realized that my children need Easter baskets, and I have a two year old who LOVES holidays and celebrating with every fiber of her being, so I have to bring my A-game. Well, here I am a week away and finally pulling together some pretty top notch baskets, if I do say so myself. Here are some of the actual things I’m giving to my kiddos in their baskets this year. Most of them can be snagged at Target because that’s just how I live my life. I did also include a few things from some of my favorite small ships that were just too good to pass up on, and if you hurry there’s still time for you to order them and have them show up in time for the Big Bunny’s special delivery.
