Enjoying the Holidays at Universal Studios Hollywood with Little Kids

We finally got to experience Universal Studios during the holidays and it did not disappoint! Hopefully we can make this a new Christmas tradition because everyone in the whole family had SO much fun. If you remember my blog post from when we went almost 3 years ago, we realized how much fun there is for families with little ones at Universal Studios. This last trip made me totally fall in love with the park with all of the extra fun and holiday decor it had to offer. We can’t wait to experience Grinchmas and the magic of Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter again! I’ll break down some of the highlights we loved about the holidays and the rest of the park.

The Polar Express Train Ride

You guys, this has been on my bucket list since before I had kiddos. When I was teaching (you know in my past life) a student took a trip to the one they do at the Grand Canyon and that’s when I knew that I had to take my kids someday. When I did have kids I realized that drive to Arizona was less than ideal with the ages they were. Then this year I saw that the same location we did A Day Out with Thomas was hosting the first ever Southern California location of the Polar Express Train Ride. Now, this is the legit version not some one off, hokey experience. It truly felt like we were on the real Polar Express, the experience is something I will never forget.

Come on, Polly Pocket!

Last week we were invited to a super fun event at Mattel headquarters to celebrate Polly Pocket’s birthday. Obviously the 7 year old Polly obsessed girl in me freaked out! I got to re-live my childhood and introduce Elouise to one of my all time favorite toys. Here’s the thing, Polly Pocket has a whole new vibe than when we were kids, and it’s actually pretty darn cool. They provided us with a super fun day to share all about Polly Pocket and what they have in store for the future. This post actually isn’t sponsored in any way, I just was genuinely impressed and wanted to share more about this re-imagined Polly that our kids get to play with. Read More

My Favorite Road Trip Hack with Firestone Complete Auto Care

Summertime has officially begun and you know what that means, don’t you? It’s road trip season! If you guys remember we took a super long road trip last year to Arizona, and we will not be doing anything that crazy again, but we have a few shorter road trips planned. This year we are traveling with two opinionated toddlers rather than one toddler and a sleeping baby, and I knew this would be a game changer. That’s why I’m so excited to have partnered with Firestone Complete Auto Care to share my favorite road trip hack with you guys. Keep scrolling to find my super easy (and cheap) way to keep your kids happy during your road trip this summer, and it might just include a free printable.

Kicking off Summertime with a Staycation

When it comes to Summertime, we don’t mess around in Southern California. Seeing as it feels like summer 80% of the year down here anyway, when its officially time to leave behind the busy schedule and trade it in for extra playtime, we don’t waste any time. With that being said, we decided to do a mini family staycation at Howard Johnson Anaheim because not only does it give us great options for family friendly rooms, but our kids are OBSESSED with the water playground. Plus, it’s walking distance to Disneyland, like literally 8 minutes, which is a huge bonus! If you missed the original blog I wrote about our first stay at HoJo Anaheim you can find it here. If you’re looking for something fun to do with your family this summer, keep reading because I have an awesome discount to share with you!
