Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: Tubby Todd Mama Products

We discovered pretty early on that Elouise had sensitive skin just like her Daddy and I do. In fact she even had some pretty bad eczema as a newborn. We tried several different all natural products for her and none of them cut it, but then we found Tubby Todd. Their products are 100% natural and are so luxurious, yes you can use that word for baby bath products. For the past year we have been hooked, and I say ‘we’ because it’s totally the body wash, lotion, and bubble bath that I love to use as well. Naturally when they announced that they were releasing a line of products for mamas, I knew I had to get my hands on them. They sure did not disappoint!

You’re Doing a Great Job Mama!

Okay, as if getting a package in the mail for myself isn’t exciting enough, seeing the most adorable packaging just warmed my heart. I think we all need to remember that we are doing a great job. Is it too much to frame the lid? Probably, oh well. I could hardly wait to break each of the products open and test them out. I also had a little lotion obsessed helper who made the process a tad bit more sweet. I love each product and would recommend buying the whole bundle because once you try one of them you’re going to wish you had gotten them all. Here’s my favorite thing about each one, besides the fact that they are all 100% natural of course.

  • Freshening Spray: This so much more than your average body spray because it has magical properties to make you actually feel ‘fresh’ and not like you are just masking the fact that you haven’t showered in three days. I know I’m not the only guilty one! Plus the light and sweet vanilla and aloe scent is enough to make someone enjoy hugging you but not wonder if you bathed in a pool of Japanese cherry blossoms.
  • Belly Balm: Two words, citrus avocado. That is the light fresh scent of the most luxurious (yes, I’m using the word again) belly butter on the market. I’ve tried all sorts of products, some too thick, others too oily, or even way too fragrant. This leaves my belly feeling relieved of the tight itchiness that creeps in toward the middle of the second trimester.
  • Hand Cream: I’ll be honest, I never was one to carry hand cream in my purse, but then I had my daughter. It’s like having a child sucks all of the moisture out of your hands. It’s probably all the hand washing and sanitizing we do. I’d like to blame the extra dishes but in all fairness I can’t because my husband handles most of those around here (feel free to be a little jealous ladies, he’s a dream). Anyway, this stuff only requires the smallest dab and leave my hands ready for cuddles. Plus, just like all of the other fragrances from Tubby Todd, the smell is refreshing but in no way overwhelming.
  • Nursing Salve: This had got to be the one I’m most excited about using ‘in action’ if you will. Since I’m no longer nursing Elouise and baby boy has yet to arrive my nipples are taking a break. However, did you know prepping your nipples before delivery can be beneficial? Game changer. So, I’ve been using it here and there already, but I cant wait to be able to use it when little man arrives. I was obsessive with my all natural nipple butter when Elouise was a newborn but it had a funky smell (I’m super picky about scents you guys!), it was in a pot which kinda always freaks me out in regards to remaining sanitary, and it left my nipples kind of oily afterward. Now I’m armed and ready with a tube of fragrance free non-greasy goodness. Bring it on baby.
