Yes, it’s true; we have another sweet bundle on the way. I figured there was no better way to kick off my blog than to share a bit more about this wonderful adventure we have begun.
Everyone has been so sweet to share congratulations and kind words, but we have also been getting a ton of questions. So here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions so far.
When are you due?
My official due date is November 15th
Were you guys trying to get pregnant?
At the end of January we decided that we were open to the idea of having another baby, and that we would be ready whenever it happened.
How did you find out you were pregnant?
At the end of February I started having random moments of nausea, and I never feel sick to my stomach, so I had a suspicion. However, we still had a week to wait before I could even take an early pregnancy test. So, a week later, which happened to be the morning of Elouise’s first birthday party, I took a test and saw the faintest second line. We weren’t officially convinced so that week we took three more dollar store tests and finally decided to take a digital test because we needed to see the word ‘pregnant’. Well, after only about 30 seconds that magic word appeared and that was all the convincing we needed.
How have you been feeling?
This pregnancy has been night and day different from my first. I like to say that I was a magical pregnancy unicorn with Elouise and this time around I’d compare myself more realistically to a terrifying pregnancy zombie. I’m on the up and up though, come on second trimester bliss!
Will you be finding out the gender?
Absolutely, yes! Both my husband and I are dying to find out and plan on doing it even sooner than the typical 20-week mark.
Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?
Of course we are hoping for a healthy baby most of all, and will be happy either way. I would love another girl, because how cute are sisters? I don’t have one and since having Elouise its always been my hope to give her one. I also think often about how sweet my husband would be with a little boy. He is a huge thrill seeker and loves to do all things manly, so getting to share that with a boy would be so fun to watch.

I think that about covers all the bases. If I missed anything or you have more burning questions about Baby #2 or this pregnancy, leave them in the comments and I’d be happy to answer them!
