I collect a few pieces of decor each year and have slowly been building my collection. Anyone else love the day after Christmas shopping better than Black Friday? Finding the pieces I’ve had my eye on for 50% off give me a rush. Then the next year when I unpack I get to rediscover all of the treasures! Anyway, there are always a few things that I love so much that I can’t risk waiting to see if they’ll still have it the day after. These lists are items I’ve gotten in years past, some from this year, and then a few I have my eye on!
Greenery & Garlands
I never used to like faux greenery because all I had ever seen was the junky plastic looking kind. When Joanna Gaines graced us with her presence with her Hearth & Hand line at Target, my whole outlook changed. Her pieces all look so realistic! I have tons of her faux greenery pieces for each season. Her garlands are what I put on my mantle for Christmastime. I have one of her wreathes on my front door too.
Misc Decor
There are so many fun pieces this year guys. My mashup in taste for decor is thriving right now because there are so many amazing places to find pieces so I can pick and choose the things I want from each trend and blend them into my own, whimsical-classic-minilaist vibe. It’s a thing.
Faux Tree & Stockings
We’ve had this faux tree for two years now and I still am fully obsessed with it, like it’s SO good. Slightly sparse without being Charlie brown, super affordable, and totally realistic looking. Our stocking are a hodge podge but I think I’ve finally found the right combo. The Hearth & Hand stocking holders are awesome, they are low profile to hide under my garland and work perfect on my brick fireplace.
Kitchen & Dishes
Some of my favorite Christmas dishes and serving pieces for this season. I am a sucker for themed mugs for the holidays and the reindeer one is my ultimate favorite, In fact, I bought it for a Christmas mug exchange years ago and traded with someone in the game because I wanted the one I brought. I also linked our new small crockpot I grabbed for holiday meals to keep a side dish warm. Also, the plate and mug we use for Santas cookies and milk every year.
