If you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories, then you know that I got to hang out at Honest Company’s headquarters for a rooftop party this week. I got some questions about the event and what I was doing there, so I thought I’d just share a quick post all about it. The main reason for the event was to celebrate the newly rebranded and relaunched Honest Beauty line. I am super familiar with Honest products, as I’m sure most mamas are, but I didn’t really even know they had a beauty line before getting invited to the event. Well, you know my love for finding amazing products that are clean and safe for me and my family so I was so thrilled to get to check it out. And for allll of you asking, yes I got to meet Jessica Alba and she was the kindest and most gracious host who chatted with the attendees and spoke so passionately about her brand, more on that later.

Every single detail of the evening was amazingly gorgeous. We got to take a peek inside their office which had mock rooms featuring all of their products. Like the nursery area I gushed over in my stories. They even had a “makeover room” where makeup artists were there to apply some of the new products. I used blush for the first time and it’s safe to say I’m hooked! My fave was the Peachy Coral color!

Then it was out to the rooftop to view some more products on gorgeous displays, have cocktails (or mock-tails in my case), delicious appetizer, and desserts that were vegan and gluten free. Needless to say, I stuffed my pregnant face like I didn’t have a care in the world. Oh and I have to mention the DJ because she was a rockstar and I literally found myself wanting to dance to every song that came on like she had gotten a hold of my high school playlist.

As the evening went on, a few of my lovely mom blogger friends and I got to chat with Jessica Alba and one of them asked her what her favorite product was from the new line. Her answer shocked me and also made me love her even more. She basically said that every product at the Honest Company is created because it matters to her and is something she would want in her own life. Then she began sharing so passionately about how they’ve chosen to ban thousands of chemicals from being used in Honest products even though the US only technically bans around 11. They even have their own labs in their office so she and her team are able to be part of the creating process. Now, you all know that I am fiercely passionate about eliminating toxins from my home. I’ve done a ton of research and so hearing her speak about these things that are on my mind everyday was so refreshing. It makes me hopeful that theres more and more products that will be on shelves that consumers can buy that are safe and clean.

I even got to hang out with some gorgeous other mom bosses. I get to see these ladies here and there at some events but usually we have our kiddos in tow. It was so fun to get to have night all about us and getting to connect and laugh and fan girl over how incredible we all think Jessica Alba is. I honestly almost didn’t go to the event because it wasn’t a “mommy blogger” thing and instead was something for just me. I had never attended an event by myself before and honestly I was a little nervous (so unlike me, the super extrovert haha) The friends I have made in this community are so kind and welcoming. So many of you have expressed interest in this blogging world, and I always recommend it. Nobody has the same story to tell and you and there is room for everyone at the table. The mom blog space is something so unique and has been such a blessing.

Oh and last but not least the products are amazing.  They sent us home with a swag bag filled with goodies and everything is such great quality made with clean and safe products. I’ve shared about some of the clean make up and skin care products I use and love but I can’t wait to add these into the mix!
