Teething is one of those things that every parent dreads. I’m fairly positive that no mama has ever said, “My child is finally teething and it’s been such a joy.” Watching your child who is clearly uncomfortable fuss and refuse their sleep and sometimes even their food is dreadful. We try our best in our home to only use natural products, especially when it has come to Elouise. My two go to products for teething were an all natural teething gel and my pieces from Chewable Charm.
Okay, so I’m a day late, yikes. This whole being 8 months pregnant thing is really taking it’s toll on my brain function. I am always either forgetting things or thinking that things are way sooner than they are. Hot mess central. This week has been especially nuts with a lot of family celebrations and then preparing for being gone next week for one of my best friend’s wedding. It’s another Small Shop Spotlight with one of my favorites, Poppy Lane & Co. Honestly, opening up that package was when it really hit me that a baby was going to be joining us. I just stared at that tiny little newborn size bracelet and marveled at how pretty soon that would fit on the tiny wrist of the sweet baby girl that was growing inside of me. For the next few weeks, I would pull out the bracelet and squeal and then stare at it while imagining all of the memories we would make in our matching bracelets.
Playtime has been getting a little wild in our house lately thanks to some new super fun toys from Little Tikes. I have a pretty rigorous selection process when it comes to bringing toys into our home. As a teacher I always want toys that encourage development, learning, imaginative play, or all three! Then there’s the other issue that we have a teeny tiny home and Elouise’s play space in in our open concept living area, meaning whatever toys she has are in plain view at all times. So I’m always on the hunt for toys that make sense for our family and these two from Little Tikes have already brought us so many smiles.
Being a girl mom means that we have a whole lot of bow, headbands, clips, and other accessories filling all sorts of drawers and bins in our house. In fact, I find bows in the most random spots, like the nooks and crannies of Elouise’s play kitchen, fallen in between the seats of the car, and in Daddy’s shoes.
