If you’ve followed me for a while, you know our family’s love for Disneyland runs deep. In fact, Christian and I used to go together all the time in college and when we first got married. The Disney magic doesn’t ever get old, in fact I think it just get more magical when you get to bring your own kiddos. That’s why its our go-to place for family adventures. We had just gotten down a pretty solid routine to conquer the parks with a toddler, and then Sullivan arrived. That meant we had to think through all of the new curve balls that would come with navigating things with a newborn. So, I’ve created a list of a few Do’s & Don’ts that we learned on our trip.
Sullivan Gray: 1 Month
I can hardly believe it, but our little guy is one month old! Apparently 4 weeks and 1 month are different things, it’s true what they say about things being a lot easier to forget with the second kid. At least I got the post done on one of the milestone dates, right? I am super excited to have a place to write about his monthly milestones though and will be sharing an update with some photos here on the blog each month. With Elouise we took photos of her lying next to her favorite BlaBla cat, so of course we had to get Sullivan his very own BlaBla, Luigi the frog! Another tradition we are carrying on is using Milestone Baby cards. They are the cutest way to document the big and little things that happen during baby’s first year.
Finally a Family of Four
I could hardly believe those words as I typed them in the title bar. Family of FOUR! It honestly is so surreal but at the same time it feels like this it’s just how life was always meant to be. Sullivan fills a void in our family that I never knew existed. The week after we got home, my sweet sister in law came and snapped some photos of us. I wanted to share them all with you here because there are so many great ones and I can’t share them all over on my Instagram. So, here they are!
Getting Ready for Bottle Feeding with Dr. Brown’s
Alright folks, here it is, my first video for the blog. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to share two of my new favorites from Dr. Browns with you and a video just seemed like the perfect way to do that! Since we are getting things set up for introducing bottles to Sullivan next week, we got to try out the Dr. Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Sterilizer and Dr. Brown’s Universal Drying Rack.
Sleeping Sound with Owlet
I thought that maybe since Sullivan was our second baby that I wouldn’t experience that same anxiety that crept in during our first few weeks home with Elouise. Well I was wrong, it was still there. Granted, there are a few areas I feel a lot more confident in, but one thing definitely hasn’t subsided. I know I’m not the only one who constantly has to check during the night that baby is still breathing. I’ve heard it time and again from other mamas, and our first night home I caught myself back at it again. Then, we set up our Owlet monitor and let me tell you, it changed the game.
