Small Shop Spotlight: Alexandra Rose Handmade

The moment I knew I was having a little girl, I made a decision. I was going to be picky about how I dressed her. This is until of course she could voice her own opinions, in which case I’m sure she’ll pick the most obnoxious combination of clothing as most toddlers do. My favorite was a pink and purple dress, halloween socks, and glittery ruby red slippers. God bless my mother for letting me leave the house like that. One of the places I discovered on my journey for stylish girl clothes is Alexandra Rose Handmade.

The Cannon Adventures: A Day in Oak Glen, CA

I apologize in advance for the amount of adorable photos I’m including in this post. It’s just been so long since I’ve had a family adventure to post because pregnancy has been a roller coaster. This trip up to Oak Glen is one that I knew was worth it even if it meant my sciatic nerve would be killing me by the end of the day. You see, a trip up to pick raspberries once Fall rolls around has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. Sure, it may not be Fall according to the calendar, but Starbucks is serving Pumpkin Spice Lattes so that counts to me!

Small Shop Spotlight: Adelisa & Co.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, we have a shoe obsession in our household. Not only do I love a new pair of shoes, but Christian may be even worse than I am. So, Elouise is doomed to have the same problem, seeing as we are setting her up for a lifetime of shoe envy and retail therapy in the form of a new pair of kicks. Seeing as Elouise is in the toddler stage and not all that into communicating shoe comfort, I do my best to make sure that we only buy top notch shoes to put on her little feet. Enter Adelisa & Co, the cutest little handmade leather shoes for your little ones.

Dressing the Bump: Week 27

KJ.8.12.16-5 copy

This is my last week in the second trimester, AH. This is getting really, really, really, real. My belly is for sure feeling nice and large and that’s why I was so excited to find out my favorite swimwear brand was releasing maternity swim bottoms. Living in Southern California and having a husband who practically has salt water in his veins means we end up at the beach pretty often. So that leaves me with two options, either throw on a bathing suit and enjoy myself or try to wear some sort of semi beach friendly outfit and end up being uncomfortable and sweaty. Yuck. Honestly, I’ve never been the biggest fan of swimsuits because of the whole people seeing me half naked thing, but since having Elouise my views on body image have changed drastically.
