I can’t believe we are getting so close to meeting this sweet baby. With my baby shower this next weekend, I know that the rest of the time is going to just fly by with nesting and loads of tiny baby laundry. So, I knew I wanted to take some family maternity photos pronto. First of all, because I didn’t want to run out of time, and second, I knew I would only be getting bigger and bigger these last weeks. I enlisted the help of one of my besties and her super skilled photographer husband from Eric McFarland Photography to take our pictures. The results, as you can see, are positively dreamy. Plus, my dress from Roolee boutique made this 8 month pregnant lady feel like a zillion bucks. I also promised to share a bit more about how my husband and I met and how he proposed, so scroll down past all the pretty photos to read that goodness.
Dressing the Bump: Week 31
Okay, so I’m a day late, yikes. This whole being 8 months pregnant thing is really taking it’s toll on my brain function. I am always either forgetting things or thinking that things are way sooner than they are. Hot mess central. This week has been especially nuts with a lot of family celebrations and then preparing for being gone next week for one of my best friend’s wedding. As promised, I have answered your questions below. You all were surprisingly nice, which makes me think I may be up for doing another Q & A in the future.
Small Shop Spotlight: Alexandra Rose Handmade
The moment I knew I was having a little girl, I made a decision. I was going to be picky about how I dressed her. This is until of course she could voice her own opinions, in which case I’m sure she’ll pick the most obnoxious combination of clothing as most toddlers do. My favorite was a pink and purple dress, halloween socks, and glittery ruby red slippers. God bless my mother for letting me leave the house like that. One of the places I discovered on my journey for stylish girl clothes is Alexandra Rose Handmade.
Dressing the Bump: Week 30
I’m 30 weeks and loving this nightie and robe combo from Belabumbum! Plus the maternity and nursing chemise is a dual product since it works now for my giant bump and will be perfect for middle of the night nursing sessions when baby arrives. I’m really trying to soak up this week because next week we will be in a single digit countdown and I know at that point time is going to fly by. Between all of the baby prep and all of the other craziness happening in our family, this baby will be here in the blink of an eye. I cannot wait to smell his sweet little newborn head, there’s something about that newborn smell that acts as a magic cure for all of the cares of the world. Until then, I have been finding my source of calm in my morning quiet times, this morning was particularly meaning for me.
Dressing the Bump: Week 29
I’ll be honest, I was not feeling these photos you guys. I just felt like my “look” wasn’t worthy of a post. That’s because, if I’m being honest, most days I’m wearing some version of this get-up. I guess you could call this my mom-iform. Get it? Like a mom uniform, I know I’m pretty clever. Then I realized how important it was for me to share this look because not every day to I get out the door with my hair done, make up on, or the perfectly put together outfit. This is just Exhibit A.
