Getting Wild with Playtime

Playtime has been getting a little wild in our house lately thanks to some new super fun toys from Little Tikes. I have a pretty rigorous selection process when it comes to bringing toys into our home. As a teacher I always want toys that encourage development, learning, imaginative play, or all three! Then there’s the other issue that we have a teeny tiny home and Elouise’s play space in in our open concept living area, meaning whatever toys she has are in plain view at all times. So I’m always on the hunt for toys that make sense for our family and these two from Little Tikes have already brought us so many smiles.

Small Shop Spotlight: Favorite Hair Accessories

Being a girl mom means that we have a whole lot of bow, headbands, clips, and other accessories filling all sorts of drawers and bins in our house. In fact, I find bows in the most random spots, like the nooks and crannies of Elouise’s play kitchen, fallen in between the seats of the car, and in Daddy’s shoes. The Cannon Adventures: A Day in Oak Glen, CA

I apologize in advance for the amount of adorable photos I’m including in this post. It’s just been so long since I’ve had a family adventure to post because pregnancy has been a roller coaster. This trip up to Oak Glen is one that I knew was worth it even if it meant my sciatic nerve would be killing me by the end of the day. You see, a trip up to pick raspberries once Fall rolls around has been a family tradition for as long as I can remember. Sure, it may not be Fall according to the calendar, but Starbucks is serving Pumpkin Spice Lattes so that counts to me!

Small Shop Spotlight: Adelisa & Co.

If I haven’t mentioned it before, we have a shoe obsession in our household. Not only do I love a new pair of shoes, but Christian may be even worse than I am. So, Elouise is doomed to have the same problem, seeing as we are setting her up for a lifetime of shoe envy and retail therapy in the form of a new pair of kicks. Seeing as Elouise is in the toddler stage and not all that into communicating shoe comfort, I do my best to make sure that we only buy top notch shoes to put on her little feet. Enter Adelisa & Co, the cutest little handmade leather shoes for your little ones.

Dressing the Bump: Week 29

I’ll be honest, I was not feeling these photos you guys. I just felt like my “look” wasn’t worthy of a post. That’s because, if I’m being honest, most days I’m wearing some version of this get-up. I guess you could call this my mom-iform. Get it? Like a mom uniform, I know I’m pretty clever. Then I realized how important it was for me to share this look because not every day to I get out the door with my hair done, make up on, or the perfectly put together outfit. This is just Exhibit A.
