Alright folks, I’ve just got to share a little bit about what is on my mind. As a teacher we’d say “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. Maybe for you it’s the Golden Rule or WWJD. Whatever it may be, the bottom line is that we should all do our best to be nice. It seems like an easy enough thing to do, but sadly we all fail. I do my best to take responsibility for the times when I mess up, so it’s so discouraging to see others who go out of their way to make someone feel bad about themselves. I’ve seen countless other mom friends get these sorts of comments on social media and their blogs, but I’ve been fortunate enough to never encounter it, until today. I was tempted to delete it and move on, but that’s not how I roll. Instead I am choosing to replace those negative vibes with a whole lot of positive ones. So mamas, if you are staying at home, working full time, working part time, or work from home, no matter what sort of category or non-category you fall into this one is for you, because you are AWESOME.
When I’m Human, and I’m Gonna be…
Yes, I just quoted a Disney song for my blog post title and you’ll see why if you keep reading. Anyway, the first words I read in my quiet time this morning were “It’s all right to be human”. Isn’t that such a relief? Lately, not only have I been acutely aware of the ways I am falling short, but I’ve also been disappointed and disheartened by the way people around me have acted in their own human-ness lately. Let me explain a little bit more about how I’m feeling currently.
