Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: Tot Squad Baby Gear Services

There are certain things I am a slight germaphobe about, but since becoming a mother I have found that it’s all about picking your battles when it comes to germs. We’ve all heard the advice, you know, a healthy exposure to germs is good to build up the immune system or God made the dirt and the dirt won’t hurt. Well, dirt might not hurt as far as passing along deathly diseases but it does hurt my mama heart. I try to keep the “obvious” things clean, giving extra care to the things that go into my kiddo’s mouth. Then, I read a study done by the TODAY show  that a car seat tends to have twice as many germs than a toilet. Um, WHAT? Yes. I immediately knew I had to find a solution, and I finally found it with The Tot Squad.

Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: HALO Sleep Sack

From the moment I found out I was pregnant with Elouise I felt my maternal instincts kick in. A big part of that was the thought of keeping my then unborn baby safe. There’s so much unknown as you grow a tiny human inside of you with barely any control over what is happening. Then as my due date approached I became even more aware of my upcoming duties as a mama and how it would be my job to keep this tiny baby safe. That’s when I began researching all things newborn and baby, but it only made me more nervous. The thing that scared me the most was SIDS and while there is no surefire way to prevent it from happening, there are plenty of things you can do to lower the risk. October happens to be SIDS awareness month and I was fortunate enough to partner with HALO in their “decorate the nursery, not the crib” campaign.

#babyregistryessentialsgiveaway

When we registered for Elouise I remember being so overwhelmed. I am pretty “type a” so I had done a ton of research on baby products, but nothing prepares you for the insane checklist that is handed to you with that scanner gun. I remember the amount of suggested items on the registry list to be around 300 or something equally as crazy. Well I was a sucker, because immediately all of my research and logic went out the window. If this list said I needed it, it was going on the registry! Needless to say, I ended up with all sorts of things that got used once, and even some that didn’t get used at all. It made me sick to think of all the money that could have been spent on diapers. (Why don’t babies come potty trained?) So this time I knew things had to be different, and I created a no nonsense registry filled with only the most essential items. Right now on my Instagram page you can register to win 10 of those times.

Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: Lorena Canals Washable Rug

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

No, you didn’t read that wrong, that in fact says “washable rug”. When I say washable, I don’t mean like the sneaky kind of washable where you have to do all sorts or tricks and magic to try and actually get the thing clean. We all know those products, the ones hanging in our closets we don’t wear around our children or the ones that turn into a drill sergeant if we see a child come anywhere close with food or drink. This lovely 100% cotton Lorena Canals rug is fully machine washable. I can literally grab it off the floor, throw it into the washing machine, and then tumble dry low in my dryer. Why isn’t everything that simple?

Alright I’m back with another must-have and this one is super awesome because it comes with a giveaway. You heard me right, you can head over to my Instagram to enter to win a custom family illustration of your own from Kelsey Estrada. That’s a $140 value, you guys! I have always wanted one of these done since Christian and I got married. I had it all planned, we would have one done every time our family grew. Well, that ship has sailed because we never got one and now we have three in our family. So, I suppose the tradition begins now. I just love how she captured all the fun little quirks of each one of us so perfectly. Its honestly my most favorite item in my entire house, beside my family obviously.
