1st Trimester Survival Guide

Let me just say that there could not be a more appropriate word to use than “survival” because that was the goal for the first trimester. I’m two days into the second trimester and I’ll say that so far I haven’t had a magical transformation into a beautiful pregnancy unicorn, but maybe it’s coming? A girl can hope. I did find some products that really helped me survive the first 13 weeks of this pregnancy. This whole feeling awful thing was so new to me that I didn’t have any tried and true things to fall back on. However, after trial and error, these were the products that I found to be most helpful along this journey so far. Hopefully, they can help some of you mamas who are also struggling to make it through the day in the 1st trimester.

Baby Cannon #3

We are seriously so thrilled to have another little one on the way. It’s been so hard keeping the secret this time around because it has quite simply knocked me on my feet. I’m sharing few more fun variations of our announcement photos here because there were a few really good ones! We knew we wanted to do something simple for the announcement (because there really are no new ideas under the sun) but wanted to put our own new unique twist on it. When we came up with the “trilogy” idea for our custom t-shirts it was the obvious winner. Well, I’ve gotten LOTS of DMs and questions about some of the details of the pregnancy so I’m sharing the answers here. I will share my favorite first trimester items this weekend since I only have a couple more days left until I’m sailing into the second trimester.

Every Princess Needs Some Bling

I’m excited to share these sweet little pieces that were sent over for Elouise from Chanteur Designs! This is the first time that Elouise has had a “real” necklace other than the random little play jewelry she has had in her dress up bin. I don’t know why but I feel like she looks so grown up wearing a necklace! Keep scrolling to the end of the post for the $150 giveaway to shop at Chanteur Designs for some jewelry for your little one!

3 Tips for Picking a Kid Friendly Hotel

The age-old question, how do you know if you’re picking the right hotel for a family trip? Let me tell you that we have learned our fair share of things the hard way. Some things were just tiny changes we’d make for the next trip, and other things meant we got zero sleep. Needless to say, we’ve got some tricks up our sleeves and I’m sharing a few with you. I’ve got lots of helpful posts about family travel but this one is going to let you in on how to do the one thing that will really make or break your time away with your family, picking a kid-friendly hotel. We recently stayed at the Howard Johnson Anaheim and I think it’s safe to call it the most kid-friendly hotel we’ve stayed at yet!

A Tea Party with Hello Kitty and Ergobaby

We recently got the opportunity to celebrate the launch of the new Ergo Baby and Hello Kitty collection. Since it’s live for purchase today, I thought it would be a great time to share all of the fun details of the event. We haven’t taken the kiddos out to something like this for what feels like forever, so the drive in traffic to get to Hollywood was totally worth it (just don’t ask my husband, the driver). We have used and loved Ergobaby since Elouise was a tiny thing and they have been our favorite structured carrier by far. We left the event with the most adorable doll carrier for Elouise that matched the carrier that I picked to bring home. Twinning in carriers is super cute, right? I don’t think Sully will mind if I have him in a pink carrier, just scroll down to see his reaction to meeting the real Hello Kitty.
