Call me crazy, but I am like 90% in Christmas mode already. Honestly, the only thing stopping me from being 100% there is the fact that we are planning for Sully’s birthday party on the 11th so I have to hold off on decorating with Santa and reindeer because it doesn’t really go with the dinosaur theme. One thing we did already do was bust out our matching Christmas PJs and snap some family photos. I just might send a Christmas card out this year, although the stack of unsent birth announcements from Elouise still haunts me a little bit. So, just in case they don’t get sent out, I’m sharing the goodness up here on the blog because the cuteness factor is on another level!
Baby Food Made Easy
I get a lot of questions about what we did and are doing to feed Sully as fas as starting solids. The answer is, there is no one answer. We have done almost every option of feeding with him. Is it a second child thing? We’ve done store bought organic baby food, pre-made food delivery services, baby led weaning (aka giving him food from my plate) and then whenever I can, I’ve made him fresh baby food. I will say that this is by far my favorite option, simply because I can control exactly what he eats and how fresh it is. It always felt really daunting though, until I discovered Raised Real.
#MomsDoPalms
Yup, a bunch of Moms did Palms really good, Palm Springs that is. We had SO MUCH FREAKING FUN. With the exception of one of my IRL besties, Ashley, I had not met any of these ladies. 9 women, who are basically strangers, in a house would typically be a recipe for disaster. Like, they film reality TV about stuff like this because it’s usually pretty juicy. However, we knew we liked each other from connecting on Instagram over the course of about a year and the results were magical. It was SO fun, we laughed and ate, and laughed so more. We were hosted by The Weekend House and it could not have been any more perfect. Since I don’t want to bore you all with every tiny detail, I will just share all of the fun photos.

Easy DIY Halloween Costumes for Kids
I am SO excited that it’s October!! To me, it’s the start of the holiday season. I honestly never felt this way before I had kids, but I basically find a way to celebrate everything now. Wait, you mean you didn’t give your kids a basket of Halloween themed goodies on October 1st? And yes, that includes all sorts of things for my 10-month-old. Duh, I know I’m crazy and that he (and probably not Elouise either) won’t remember his jack-o-lantern sippy cup when he’s in his 20’s but it sure made him happy today! Long story short, I go overboard for holidays now, it’s just who I am. For Halloween costumes this year I wanted to make it super fun since I have two tiny humans to dress. I am totally down for the family costume but my hubby doesn’t love them and the 31st is also his birthday so it’s only fair for me to let him off the hook. It was so fun for me to come up with ideas that I decided to put together a whole blog post. Now, these costumes aren’t the pre-made store bought ones (and there’s nothing wrong with those, the stores just don’t sell these ones) and they also aren’t the crazy DIY kind with sewing and paper mache. In fact, every one of these starts with clothes from one of my favorite brands, Primary. Solid colors, no logos, cozy, and totally going back into my kid’s dressers after Halloween. The rest of the details were all things I grabbed from around my house or super cheap do-dads, I’ll link as much as I can for you guys!
