If you’ve been here before you know that we recently had a family vacation. Five days and four nights of a whole lot of family fun and maybe just a little bit of chaos. I’m serious when I say it was only a little chaotic because we were prepared for just about any scenario while we were away. Luckily we didn’t have to worry about fitting everything onto an airplane, but we did have to endure a treacherous road trip (more on that here). Anyway, big thanks to American Tourister for sponsoring this post so that I can share my packing tips with you guys! Their Z-Lite suitcase was the perfect size for the things I packed for the kiddos.
Just Keep Swimming
It’s no secret that my family lives for playtime in the pool. Daddy grew up surfing and I think his deep rooted love for the water lives on in both of the kids. Although my summer activity of choice is snoozing in the sun (sun screened of course, duh) I will happily splash around even in the coldest water to bring a smile to my kids’ faces. Needless to say, picking a hotel to stay at usually involves some heavy research into the pool situation. We knew we’d love the JW Marriott Dessert Ridge because there were multiple pools, a splash pad, and a freaking lazy river. That was maybe my favorite part because I got to relax in my innertube while Elouise floated along in the current of the river. She felt like a mermaid and I can confidently say that we spent hours in there. Here are some photos from our pool time, obviously rocking our favorite family swimwear from Kortni Jeane.
Phoenix Fun at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge
I am here to report that a vacation with two littles can be incredible. Don’t believe me? Just look at these photos! Elouise had the time of her life and we loved having fun as a family. I think it really had to do with the location we chose also. Thanks a million to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge for hosting us. If you are ever on the hunt for a family friendly resort, just trust me, and the thousands of photos below, when I say that this place is a family vacation dream. There was an amazing pool area, which I will be dedicating another post to because it was just that good. I also have vacation tips, road trip essential, packing ideas, and more coming your way so stay tuned. To kick it off, here’s a little look at our stay at Desert Ridge!
Saturday Strollin’
Happy Saturday friends! This post is really just to show off some fun we had strolling around in our new Veer Cruiser. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s basically a mix between a luxury stroller and a wagon. I’m not going to lie I kind felt like a bad ass pulling my kiddos around in this on our walk. This is totally not sponsored, I’m just obsessed and wanted to share it with you all.
The One Thing I Can’t Leave the House Without
Cups. Water cups. Specifically the kitty cat doctor cup from Dr. Brown’s because my toddler is really specific. I hate to disappoint if you thought that this was going to be some hot new must have, mom-hack item, but it’s something that’s been around for ages. If I don’t at least bring one cup with us when we leave the house, it’s bad. Like, I will have to buy water somewhere. Let me share with you our current faves, and a few photos of my crazy kids at Target. You know, just in case you were worried you were the only one with a toddler who takes over the bedding aisle for an unprompted runway show. Thanks to Dr. Brown’s for sponsoring this post so I can share our favorite cups with you!
