Where has my baby gone? No, seriously. He is SO big and getting more grown up by the second. Now that he army crawls its a game changer. We are officially in the awkward stage where he wants to be free and move but he shimmies on his belly across the floor so I’m not going to just put him on the ground while we are out and about. Also teething, teething and sleep training. This month has been rough and maybe that’s why I’m almost 10 days late with this post. Oops. Anyway, here’s a little update on life with my 8 month old little buddy.

Tooth, there it is!

Guys, stop, I know my jokes are awesome. Really though, Sully cut his first tooth and the second one is right about to pop through. While he looks a-freaking-dorable with that tiny tooth, teething is rough. I was not prepared because, you guessed it, Elouise never had any teething symptoms. So here I am trying my best to do everything to comfort this sweet boy. Not to mention mentally prepare for the slew of teeth that are to come. I have found that having a variety of teething toys to circulate through is what keeps my little buddy happy. Thanks to Dr. Brown’s for sponsoring this post.

The Arrival of the Paci Fairy

I have to say that during my years as an early childhood educator I heard about a lot of tricks that parents would do to get their kids to try something new or move on from a certain behavior. Honestly, I thought most of them were silly. Now I am like, sign me up for every gimmick in the book, because kids are tough and as parents we need all the help we can get. Enter, the Paci Fairy. No she’s not one of the characters that you will find on the shelves of your favorite store, she is purely a desperate ploy that I’m utilizing so I hopefully don’t traumatize my paci loving child. Call me crazy, but it’s working. Like, if I had to rate it on a 10 point scale with 10 as the highest, it would be an 8. I’m not even kidding! Before I get into all the details, here is the cutest freaking video of when the Paci Fairy came to our house on Monday.

Playroom Reveal

Alright, this post has been a long time coming. The play room has slowly been coming together since we moved in almost 6 months ago, but since my kids didn’t care about the decor or furniture, it kinda gave me an excuse to put it on the back burner. Well, we are 90% finished and we happened to have it clean, and that’s a rare occurrence you guys, so we snapped some photos (read to the end of the post to see what I’m doing with the other 10% of the playroom). I did my best to link the items in the playroom but I will say that some were thrifted years ago, some are no longer sold so I found a similar version, and a lot of things were hit with a good amount of white spray paint. I also rounded up some of our favorite toys and games! Well, let the playroom photo spam begin.

The Many Faces of Elouise Jane

So, if you’ve followed me for a while you know my girl has got some serious personality. Like, the things that she comes up with are hilarious. I often wish that I could have a camera recording her 24/7. Yesterday when we put on her new dress from Cuteheads I knew that we had to snap some photos of her in it because her face lit up. She felt like a princess, but you know that sassy kind that has a little edge. There were so many good ones, that I couldn’t just share one on Instagram and keep the rest to myself.
