I’ve been meaning to share this for a few weeks but, man, the transition to three kiddos has been a whirlwind! That’s kinda the theme of this whole story actually. It started with a whole lot of waiting and anxious anticipation but the actual delivery process was a wild ride! Let me explain a bit more.
Newborn and restful sleep aren’t exactly synonymous. I mean, when (and if) they sleep, they sleep “like a baby”, don’t get me wrong. As a parent, we are doomed to interrupted sleep for at least a month or two and sometimes years after. I knew this after having my first two kiddos, but what I didn’t realize was that the elusive newborn sleep time could also interrupt my day. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This year is a little bit more wonderful because we have a tiny newborn in the mix, it really just makes things extra magical. Believe it or not, we have never actually sent out Christmas cards. I know that it sounds crazy, but it’s true! So I figured this year was a good time to start since we also had some thank you cards to send out after Teddy’s baby shower not that long ago. It’s safe to say that as parents, one of our main goals is to keep our kids safe. Whether you identify as a helicopter mom, a free range mom, or a tiger mom, I think we can all agree that we want our children to stay safe.
