So, I made the rookie parenting mistake of blinking and somehow my baby boy is 8 weeks old today. What the heck? This is going by WAY faster than I remember. Maybe it’s because it didn’t take my postpartum body a full 8 weeks to recover this time and I have been out and about like my normal self since week 2. Or, maybe it’s because we have so many huge life changes going on around us, plus the craziness of the holidays. It’s probably a little bit of those two things, but I’m thinking mostly it’s because I am chasing around a tornado of a toddler. Yeah, that’s probably it. Anyhow, no matter how it happened here we are. 8WEEKS. I’m going to take a moment to cry now.
Sullivan Gray at 2 Months
- 14lbs 6oz
- 25 in long
- Size 2 diapers
- 0-3/3-6 month clothes depending on the brand
- Size 1 shoes
- Sleeping a 6 hour stretch at night (HALLELUJAH!) but super inconsistently during the day
- Still the cuddliest little bug and begs to be held all day with the cutest cries
- Speaking of cries, he has the sweetest most dramatic little cries when he is complaining and it’s hard not to smile when he starts
- Getting SO strong and can pretty much hold his head up
- Getting less gassy and fussy (Thank goodness!) but only if mama doesn’t have any uncooked dairy (WAH!)
- Still a toot machine and the stink is impressive
- LOVES to watch big sister
- Getting all sorts of fuzzy new white blonde hair on the top of his head
- Smiles and coos ALL the time
- Showing signs of sensitive skin like his sister (and mama and daddy, the kid was doomed)
- Obsessed with all of big sister’s giant Mickey Mouse toy
- Loves being in his Solly Baby wrap
- Drinks from his Dr. Brown’s bottles like a champ
And then Elouise realized that I was taking photos of Sully so she had to get in on the action. It was hilarious! She was totally the stylist for the shoot, bringing all of her stuffed Disney friends over and laying them down just right. Then she kept scooting to different spots to find the right one and finally declared, “Mama you take picture of Elouise AND Sullivan!” These are the type of photos I am going to cherish forever.
