I’ve been pretty “punny” lately with my blog titles. If you thought that cheesy jokes were reserved only for Dads, I’m here to tell you that you have been missing out. Anyway, that is totally not the point of this post. I actually wanted to share a little mom hack I have found and that is the specialty wipe. I might have just invented that phrase but I think it describes it well. Pretty much I now have a few different wipes in my arsenal at any given moment that all have specific purposes. Besides my baby wipes for diaper changes I carry nose & face wipes, tooth & gum wipes, and pacifier & bottle wipes. You guys, yes they are a thing and yes you 100% need them. Thanks to Dr. Brown’s for sponsoring this post so I can share all of my secrets with you.
Nose & Face Wipes
You may not think these are necessary, but hear me out. My kids are messy, and I go through wipes like crazy trying to clean them up. That’s why I love having these for boogars, snot, and messy faces after snack time. I can save my other wipes for diaper changes and use these bad boys for miscellaneous clean up. The formula of the wipes literally dissolves mucus, like whoa, that sounds like a super power. What’s even better is that it moisturizes the skin while it does that so if your kiddo has the raw nose that comes with a cold it helps to soothe that instead of irritate it. They are plant based and made with Calendula, plus free of alcohol, phthalates and parabens (and those are yucky).
Tooth & Gum Wipes
These are basically genius. If your baby is frequent bottle drinker though, mine is not, then you really need these. Did you know bottle mouth is a thing? Basically is when the lingering residue after a bottle starts to ruin your baby’s tiny sweet little newborn teeth. No thanks! I really like these since Sully is eating little snack and purees. Also, if we are out and about and Elouise eats something particularly sugary I can swipe down her teeth with these. Again, they are all natural and plant based and fluoride free meaning safe for them to swallow after wiping. It helps create healthy habits super early for oral care which is a really important thing to instill in your kiddos.
Pacifier & Bottle Wipes
Anyone else have a baby who likes to throw things on the ground in the most dirty and disgusting places and then demand to have said thing back immediately? I know I am not alone in this. It’s also really great to have these around because we use natural rubber pacifiers and I am really particular about keeping them extra clean. These wipes are handy dandy to keep around because they clean naturally. They also protect your baby’s oral health because they can help reduce saliva transfer when using pacifiers and wipes. Who wants that? Not me!
