A Very Toy Story Birthday Party

Our whole family LOVES the Toy Story movies and with that our home has acquired more than a fair share of toys and memorabilia. With Toy Story 4 coming out this year, the fever was fresh, and it was obvious what theme to go with for the boys birthday party. Typically I go full Pinterest and cram as many people into our house as possible. This year I wanted to take it down a notch so I only invited our immediate families and our best friends. For decorations I found everything I needed at Party City. I linked everything for ya too (which I hardly do anymore because I’m lazy lol) but I know I’m going to get a thousand questions! Sully is still talking about his “Toy Story birthday” so I think that means it was a success.

* Thanks to Party City for gifting us the decorations. All opinions shared are my own. To read more about my sponsorship and disclosure policy click here.

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the selection that has of party supplies. They have themed items from all the popular movies and shows, the best characters, and other fun themes. They didn’t just have the typical items you might expect, they had so many unique things as well. Like the piñata we got, it actually came in a pack with a blindfold, stick, and candy! I was also able to grab a tableware kit for that included everything I needed like plates, napkins, utensils, etc. For the party favors I included a Toy Story stationary set that all the kits immediately opened and got busy creating fabulous art with. I think the biggest hit was the create your own Forky kits that we found at Party City. The kids had a BLAST and played with them all night!

We kept it simple with snacks and food. Obviously we had to have pizza because of the infamous Pizza Planet. If you want to get really into the decor you could find some blank pizza boxes and download some Pizza Planet stickers off Etsy to create authentic Pizza Planet boxes. My aunt makes THE best birthday cake and has always made it for my kids parties (I think people actually come just for the cake lol). We also got some toy story sugar cookies handmade by my sweet friend from college at M Bakes Cookies. I have never seen such perfect cookies and they tasted great too!
