Babymoon Bliss

I’m sure you’ve heard the term “babymoon” before. I know I for sure didn’t make it up, but I did take advantage of the face that society has coined a term for the important time a couple spends enjoying each other’s company before welcoming a new baby into the family. We had one before Elouise came, but didn’t end up getting to have one before Sully arrived. I think that first was was really meaningful because it was our first baby and I think we felt this one was almost equally important because brining a third baby into our family is going to mean we’re becoming a circus. Mom and Dad are going to be outnumbered and life as we know it will change big time. So we did things right this time and drove a few hours north to Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara.

The Biltmore grounds were absolutely breathtaking and lush. Green, green, and more green and then you cross the street and you’re on the most beautiful beach. It really doesn’t get much better than that. It’s not often that we visit a location and don’t want to do some sort of exploring. However, being at The Biltmore drew us in to the point that we were so happy to just enjoy the location and all it had to offer. The room was so cozy, with a fireplace and a gorgeous balcony. The pool was like a little oasis surrounded by palm trees and heated to a lovely 82 degrees. Not only did they have a standard hot pool, but they also had a heated mineral pool that my hubby loved. Little details like a gorgeous lawn with croquette made it fun to just wander the property and enjoy the grounds. Then there’s the spa, which was without a doubt the most luxurious spa experience I’d ever had! I got to enjoy treatments that were specific for pregnancy and Christian got a executive destress treatment specifically designed for men. We both left floating on cloud 9! The dining options were so exquisite, with views of the ocean and unique food options. I am still dreaming about the bread basket with sea salted butter from Tydes across the street at the Coral Casino.
