A Day in the Life

So, I’ve had a lot of you asking me for ideas on how to teach your toddler. Let me say first off that if you picture our days filled with perfectly planned Pinterest activities, you’re about to be disappointed. Since being pregnant I have been practically a zombie, although my energy is slowly coming back if only to be vanquished by the 100 degree weather. Since the heat is my mortal enemy we have been spending a lot of time indoors, which can sometimes get nutty with a almost 17 month old. I thought I’d share with you what a typical day looks like for us around here.

Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: Giveaway with Famous Footwear

July9thShoot.pt2

You guys, my husband and I have a serious shoe obsession, and clearly Elouise is doomed because I don’t even want to tell you how many pairs she has right now. I honestly didn’t realize how bad it was until we moved into our current cozy home and had to fit all of our belonging in 900 square feet (it was not easy). In fact we even had a shoe rack by our stairs so we could have a place for them all. Don’t worry, we paired it with a cute little sign that says “leave your shoes please” to encourage our guests to take off their shoes before coming in. Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

Each morning, as we pick up our sweet daughter out of her crib she looks loving into our eyes and then frantically signs for “food”. I can’t blame her, since for as long as I can remember I wake up to a growling stomach as well. For that reason, we don’t mess around at breakfast, and we usually try to hit at least four of the five food groups. The bummer about breakfast is that it happens a lot earlier that I’d like it to, meaning that I’m always looking for ways to make this particular mealtime easy. Thats why I’m sharing some of my must haves for making breakfast a little easier (coffee is a given).

3rd of July Shenanigans

We love holiday weekends, especially when it means we get an extra day with Daddy home. We can’t wait to celebrate tomorrow with family, pool time, bbq, and everything red, white, and blue. God bless America and God bless this little cutie who clearly has a pretty strong pre-game going on.
