If I’m being honest, one of my biggest fears about having Sullivan was that there would be moments that both kiddos would need me at the same time. Obviously I only have two hands, so I needed to find the best possible baby items to get to help keep my baby safe and happy if I needed to help his big sister. I did a LOT of research and heard raving reviews about the mamaRoo. Now I know why!
Sullivan Gray: 1 Month
I can hardly believe it, but our little guy is one month old! Apparently 4 weeks and 1 month are different things, it’s true what they say about things being a lot easier to forget with the second kid. At least I got the post done on one of the milestone dates, right? I am super excited to have a place to write about his monthly milestones though and will be sharing an update with some photos here on the blog each month. With Elouise we took photos of her lying next to her favorite BlaBla cat, so of course we had to get Sullivan his very own BlaBla, Luigi the frog! Another tradition we are carrying on is using Milestone Baby cards. They are the cutest way to document the big and little things that happen during baby’s first year.
Getting Ready for Bottle Feeding with Dr. Brown’s
Alright folks, here it is, my first video for the blog. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to share two of my new favorites from Dr. Browns with you and a video just seemed like the perfect way to do that! Since we are getting things set up for introducing bottles to Sullivan next week, we got to try out the Dr. Brown’s Deluxe Bottle Sterilizer and Dr. Brown’s Universal Drying Rack.
Sleeping Sound with Owlet
I thought that maybe since Sullivan was our second baby that I wouldn’t experience that same anxiety that crept in during our first few weeks home with Elouise. Well I was wrong, it was still there. Granted, there are a few areas I feel a lot more confident in, but one thing definitely hasn’t subsided. I know I’m not the only one who constantly has to check during the night that baby is still breathing. I’ve heard it time and again from other mamas, and our first night home I caught myself back at it again. Then, we set up our Owlet monitor and let me tell you, it changed the game.
Mrs Seacannon Must-Haves: DockATot
The one thing that I was most worried about when we found out I was pregnant was loosing sleep when the new baby arrived. No, seriously, that was my biggest worry. I really, really, like my sleep, and Elouise was sleeping through the night pretty much since we brought her home from the hospital. Surely we had no chance of getting that lucky again. Then Sullivan was born and the DockATot saved our sleep.
