I can hardly believe that I have officially passed the halfway checkpoint in this pregnancy. I realized this week that I’ve been terrible at documenting my growing belly, which is something that I swore I would be better at this time around. I’m pretty sure we have maybe three photos of my bump from my entire pregnancy with Elouise. So, I figured now was as good of a time as any to start a weekly “dressing the bump” series where I will show you some of my favorite go-to pieces to survive pregnancy with a whole lot of comfort and about an ounce of style.
21 Going on Full Term
Let me just be a little vulnerable and say that I feel HUGE. Yes, all caps are necessary. I’m pretty sure that this is about how big my belly was at around full term with Elouise. I guess it’s true what they say, that your second (or third, or fourth) pregnancy seems to progress a lot faster. Anyway it just means that baby girl has a shelf to sit herself or her toys on.
Right now, in this god awful heat, I am trying my best to find outfits that I can stay cool in but are also flattering to my belly. My jam is the summer dress but lets be honest, for a tall girl with a giant baby growing in her midsection, the summer dress sometimes winds up being a tad bit shorter than it should be. For that reason I typically pair my dresses with a lightweight short sleeved sweater. Then there’s shoes and when its 90 degrees outside I do not want to be in tennis shoes, but flip flops aren’t really my thing either. Luckily, I’ve found some fun pairs of gladiator sandals that feel a little dressier but are so comfy and cool.
Spotlight Thief
I’ll go ahead and link all of these outfit details below, but I had to share a couple of this cutie because, come on. I know I’m not the only one who just wants to squish those sassy little cheeks!
