We set up our first baby item for baby number three, which makes things feel super surreal. Of course the kids assumed it was a new toy for them but it’s actually a really awesome co-sleeper bassinet from Arm’s Reach. I has never considered a “co-sleeping product” since we are not the co-sleeping type. I love the idea of being all snuggly and close with my baby but Christian and I are just big ol’ grumps when it comes to our sleep. Honestly, I can’t even have him touching me when it’s time to sleep, so anytime I had to have baby with me while I slept it was not very successful. All that to say, I wouldn’t have gone out of my way to buy this item based on the same. However, after setting it up I realized just how functional and perfect it will be for our situation with this baby.

First of all, the company Arm’s Reach has been making co-sleeping products for over 20 years, so they know what they’re doing to say the least. This particular product, the Versatile, is one of their slimmer products and it looks sleek and fits into your bedroom decor without sticking out like a sore thumb. We all know those ones that just kind scream “there’s a baby in here!”. Not that there’s anything wrong with making room for your little one’s in your home, but I’ve always preferred to do my best to keep my home as streamline as possible, especially the bedroom. It’s our sanctuary, am I right? I told you I don’t mess around with my sleep. So, not only does it look great, but it also is super functional. It adjusts to a bunch of different heights to accommodate your bed size and has extendable feet so that you can literally slide it on top of your bed if you want! So all of you true co-sleepers who want baby IN the bed can still achieve that with the Versatile. I also really love the breathable mesh sides of the bassinet part that allows for airflow. Plus, the little mobile is adorable!

Obviously we haven’t tried it out with an actual baby since both my kiddos are way too big but I can’t wait for baby number three to get here so we can put it to good use!
