Out of Order

This afternoon we decided to head to the fun little shopping center across the street to play at the splash pad. Elouise was decked out in her suit, hat, and new water shoes, ready to get her summer fun on. As we strolled over the the empty play area, Christian noticed a tiny piece of paper taped to a pole that said three words “Out of Order”.

Which One of Us is the Toddler?

I immediately felt so grumpy, we had gotten all ready to come and play and since we couldn’t our night was obviously ruined. Except it wasn’t, because luckily my sweet girl was already distracted by some ducks sleeping at the fountain. Oh, to be a 16 month old and so easily find joy in the things around you. This girl is like my Yoda, always teaching me new things with words I can barely understand. So, I took a page from her book and pulled the bubbles out of my diaper bag and we all had a blast running around.

Before we left we decided to snap some photos. Let me just pause and tell you that Elouise has a new obsession with my hair. Okay, so now imagine her excitement when I decided to be a fun mom and put her on my shoulders. Yep, you guessed it, and here is your proof.

Liz’s necklace: Made by Mary / Elouise’s romper: JcPenny | shoes: Adelisa & Co. | bow: Zozu Baby

Don’t worry, she did try to check on me after repeatedly moving my head around by using my bun like a joystick. Thanks for teaching me about flexibility girlfriend, because without it, life with a toddler would make me crazy!
