So, in true third baby fashion, this maternity shoot was not all that glamorous. I’m not saying that to discount it at ALL because I love these photos that my sweet sister in law Emily took for us. All that to say is that we are lucky she made us look good because these photos were shot at an abandoned field down the street from our house, after stuffing our faces with pizza for dinner, with non-planned outfits (except for my dress from Lularoe, because I know you’re going to ask). I’ve also had the files waiting to be edited for weeks on my computer but just kept pushing it down on my to do list. If this is any indication for what life is going to be like after this child arrives, we are in for a treat LOL. Moral of the story, third pregnancies don’t get all the attention that the previous ones did. Or maybe the real moral of the story is to marry someone whose sister is an amazing photographer and can still make you look good in the midst of the crazy. I’ll let you decide.
No Nonsense Baby Registry Essentials
Let me start by saying that this is the third time I’ve registered for a new baby. I’ve also spent the last 3 years testing and reviewing baby products for my blog and Instagram. I’ve had almost all of the hip, cool products and I’ve figured out which ones are worth your money and space in your home and which are something to pass on. I’ve created this list through that lens, with the hopes in sharing the no nonsense items that you need. These are the items I know I will be using almost daily, if not multiple times a day, for moths to come. Obviously this is missing things like clothes, diapers, pacifiers, and bottles. You’re going to need those too, but those things are so specific from person to person. In fact with diapers, pacifiers, and bottles, it’s really going to be up to your baby because even between my own kids the “right” products were from different brands. So go have fun with that stuff, but come here to find the no nonsense goods you’re going to need.
Shared Gender Neutral Big Kid Room
This has been my favorite project so far in our house. We have done quite a few room make-overs since moving in but this was a labor of love in the best way possible. Trying to find a vibe and design that would fit our home and also be appropriate for a shared boy & girl room was tough! We ended up with a bright, boho, gender neutral theme and it all came together exactly like I imagined it would. We worked with Bed Bath & Beyond to create the look and you can snag all of these amazing pieces because I’ll have them linked at the end of the post. The kids have been doing so great in the shared space and except for waking up about an hour earlier each morning they are sleeping like champs! I’m so glad that we decided to put them in a shared room before baby number three arrives. Keep scrolling to see all of the little details!

Wheat Your Heart Out
Recently we stopped by Jimmy John’s for lunch because this baby wants me to eat sandwiches every day. Luckily I am not mad about it. Plus, both of the kiddos have developed a love for eating sandwiches since I eat them so often now. You know, because it’s common knowledge that mamas have to share anytime they have their own food (inset eye roll here). I was so excited that we got the chance to partner with Jimmy John’s because I had read that they had just launched a new 9-grain wheat sub and I had to try it out for myself. To be honest, I try to only give my family wheat options when it comes to bread so hearing about this new bread option got me really excited. Well, I’m happy to report that I was not disappointed and the kiddos gobbled it up so it’s safe to say that they were fans as well! Keep reading this post to see some adorable photos of my kids trying to eat sub sandwiches as big as their faces and to read why this mama is saying Wheat Yeah, Freak Yeah™!

Back to School Favorites
Well the month of August kinda just flew right by without a warning. With being evacuated from the wildfires and dealing with some weird unexplained health stuff (thanks a lot pregnancy) I felt like I didn’t have time to catch my breath! So here it is, the first week of September and I’m diving back in headfirst with really no choice because Elouise just started preschool. She literally started today but I know some of you have had kids in school for a week or two now so this post seems late, but it’s not. I am totally justified in a back to school post on the very day my child starts school, even if it’s a Thursday. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! So, I’ve just complied a few of my favorites for clothes and shoes and also for organization and accessories. As a former teacher and now a mom I feel like I had a pretty good handle on how to crush back to school. We’ll see how long it takes before I forget to pack a lunch though.
