Wheat Your Heart Out

Recently we stopped by Jimmy John’s for lunch because this baby wants me to eat sandwiches every day. Luckily I am not mad about it. Plus, both of the kiddos have developed a love for eating sandwiches since I eat them so often now. You know, because it’s common knowledge that mamas have to share anytime they have their own food (inset eye roll here). I was so excited that we got the chance to partner with Jimmy John’s because I had read that they had just launched a new 9-grain wheat sub and I had to try it out for myself. To be honest, I try to only give my family wheat options when it comes to bread so hearing about this new bread option got me really excited. Well, I’m happy to report that I was not disappointed and the kiddos gobbled it up so it’s safe to say that they were fans as well! Keep reading this post to see some adorable photos of my kids trying to eat sub sandwiches as big as their faces and to read why this mama is saying Wheat Yeah, Freak Yeah™!

Here’s the thing, I have to start this off by saying that not all wheat bread is created equal. I know this because I’ve probably tried all of them (that may be a slight over-exaggeration but we’ve tried a LOT). Typically the ones I like the most have a mixture of whole grains in them and make you feel like you’re eating something wholesome. Jimmy John’s new wheat sub was definitely a winner in my book. It’s packed full of 9 grains including rye, flaxseed, quinoa, millet, oats, barley, amaranth, wheat, and spelt. Yep, you can go ahead and count, there’s nine there. Plus, it’s got a whole list of other wholesome ingredients like molasses, honey, sunflower seeds, and corn meal. Those are all things that make this mama happy when I’m looking for options to feed my kiddos. Let me just tell you that this is for SURE not your average wheat sub! The bread is baked fresh in their stores every day and is available nationwide right now. That means after you scroll through this post you can run over to your closest location and order yourself something tasty on the 9-grain wheat sub. Seriously though, go and try it out because I promise that you will not be disappointed. If you’ve never been to Jimmy John’s before do yourself a favor and order the Italian Night Club, it’s my absolute favorite! It has got all of the components of a good sub sandwich and then getting it on their 9-grain wheat sub just adds the cherry on top. Let me know if you go give the new 9-grain wheat sub a try, and comment below with your favorite order from Jimmy John’s!
